Kwame Brown Signs $7 million Deal With Warriors

Free-agent center Kwame Brown has agreed to terms on a one-year, $7-million contract with the Golden State Warriors. Agent Mark Bartelstein said the offer was “too good to pass up.”

The deal came a day after the Warriors’ four-year, $43.2-million offer to DeAndre Jordan was matched by the Clippers, keeping Jordan in Los Angeles.

The loss of Brown, a former Laker, leaves the Charlotte Bobcats with a hole at center. Gana Diop, who is coming off a torn Achilles’ tendon, is the only center on the Bobcats roster.

Mbah a Moute, 25 and in his fourth NBA season after playing at UCLA, averaged 6.7 points and 5.3 rebounds in 79 games for the Bucks last season.

Anderson, 41, was arrested late Sunday after crashing into two trees and walking away, Miramar police said in a report. He was briefly jailed before posting bond. . . . The Phoenix Suns waived point guard Zabian Dowdell, Steve Nash’s backup last season, less than a week after signing Sebastian Telfair to apparently fill the same role. The Suns also signed guard Ronnie Price and added forward Marcus Landry to the roster. . . .
